Unfortunately for some (me) and fortunate for others (probably everyone else living here), Fall weather seems to be non-existent still. With the weather still being in the 80’s it really still feels like Summer. Personally, it’s not stopping me from breaking out my light Fall clothes. Today’s post is just that…light Fall wear for those of us not able to layer and wear the season’s trends with comfort and ease. I know I sound crazy for complaining, but I’m a winter baby. Cold weather, fireplaces and layering are some of my favorite things.
I’ve been all about denim the past few weeks so slowly breaking out the comfort of my favorite skinnies has been a challenge. Until…this little red number. I’m a sucker for a great dress and this red dress has my name written all over it. A deep V, a flouncy bottom half and did we mention that it’s red? Red is one of my favorite colors to wear (when I choose to wear color). There is something very powerful about the color red. I also just love how it really stands out itself, so accessorizing can kept to a minimum. I have to say, I’m happy I discovered Tobi, too many cute things and my wallet doesn’t go through agony!
Great new about this post, all items I’m wearing are available. Just click the links below the images in the description! Hallelujah!
Today’s #ootd is not your average “Texas Tuxedo”. It’s still denim on denim, except I didn’t go all blue. I love white skinnies with a passion and paired with an oversized denim shirt only makes them want to wear them more and more. Great thing is, you can take a men’s shirt and wear as your own (perfect excuse to raid the boyfriend/husband’s closet!). Also, these “Satine” booties from Shoedazzle are my new Fall fave! They are also exceptionally comfortable. Denim is always in style and finding new ways to give it a fresh appeal something I try to do. Stay tuned for another denim on denim look coming soon featuring one of my favorite new trends: the denim skirt.
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend filled with a lot of fun, rest and whatever makes you happy! I am really excited to share details about today’s look. I’m obsessing like a teenager girl over this blush trench coat via Daily Look! Paired with my favorite slouchy boyfriend jeans and blush pumps, this may be my favorite casual look to date. It’s feminine yet comfortable. I’m always trying to challenge myself with different trends and styles, so my next challenge is: flats!
Anyhow, I hope you all have a lovely week. I’m going to take this blush trench coat and wear with everything. Yup. I may need to go into an asylum. An asylum for the fashion addicts. I wonder if they have enough closet space in the rooms…
Not too much to post today except this mocha-tastic look. Sorry for the lack of personalization in today’s post but this was a made-for-instagram outfit (follow me @LeFashnMonster to see daily photos of outfits that don’t make the blog, and all my random adventures). Anyhow, I borrowed my mom’s vintage Gucci satchel & I’m pretty sure I will have a hard time giving it back! I’m also really feelin’ these camel/cognac/mocha hues lately. This crop top is one of my favorites and it’s cool enough to wear it in Los Angeles right now (hallelujah!).
You can get these amazing jeans below (they’re under $50 & they fit amazing–thank you stretch!). And also, you can get similar booties below or go into Shoedazzle (by clicking the word Shoedazzle) and sign up & get the actual booties (they’re SO comfy). They are called “Satine”.
This past Saturday I celebrated the engagement of two of my dearest friends; Deniz (yes, we have the same name) & Saam. They are two of the most wonderful individuals and have been so dear to me for many years. It was such a lovely event where two cultures mixed together & dancing was the language. I can’t wait for their wedding in July!
For the event, I wore this stunner from Virgo’s Lounge. This brand has quickly become my favorite. Their dresses are unique, sexy, classy & very comfortable. Virgo’s Lounge mixes contemporary silhouettes, trends & color with a vintage feel. Everything on their site is flawless! The dress I’m wearing is their “Marlene” dress. Pictures can’t even do this dress justice…
Mercredi! That is my French word of the day, it means…Wednesday! Fun fact about me, I went to a French private school from 3rd to 12th grade and I can speak the language. I also stopped a train in France…that is very illegal to do. My friend was stuck in the train and it started departing ( we were supposed to exit and didn’t know we had 5 min to depart while a swarm of people embark). I don’t know what happened, but I panicked and realized it would be a whole day for them to go back to Lac D’Annecy and back to where I was. Thankfully, my superhero French came out that moment and the train stopped mid departure. I called some terrible things in French, but it was worth it.
Anyhow, today’s post is basically my favorite outfit ever! I have been looking all over the internet for a sequin black pencil skirt & finally…it arrived via USPS last night and went straight on my body. A sequined pencil skirt is one of my closet staples. Pairing it with a sexy top like this, or a basic tank, it just makes life easier because no matter what you pair with it, it will most likely look pretty phenomenal.
I mean, sequins!!
