Not too much to post today except this mocha-tastic look. Sorry for the lack of personalization in today’s post but this was a made-for-instagram outfit (follow me @LeFashnMonster to see daily photos of outfits that don’t make the blog, and all my random adventures). Anyhow, I borrowed my mom’s vintage Gucci satchel & I’m pretty sure I will have a hard time giving it back! I’m also really feelin’ these camel/cognac/mocha hues lately. This crop top is one of my favorites and it’s cool enough to wear it in Los Angeles right now (hallelujah!).
You can get these amazing jeans below (they’re under $50 & they fit amazing–thank you stretch!). And also, you can get similar booties below or go into Shoedazzle (by clicking the word Shoedazzle) and sign up & get the actual booties (they’re SO comfy). They are called “Satine”.
This past Saturday I celebrated the engagement of two of my dearest friends; Deniz (yes, we have the same name) & Saam. They are two of the most wonderful individuals and have been so dear to me for many years. It was such a lovely event where two cultures mixed together & dancing was the language. I can’t wait for their wedding in July!
For the event, I wore this stunner from Virgo’s Lounge. This brand has quickly become my favorite. Their dresses are unique, sexy, classy & very comfortable. Virgo’s Lounge mixes contemporary silhouettes, trends & color with a vintage feel. Everything on their site is flawless! The dress I’m wearing is their “Marlene” dress. Pictures can’t even do this dress justice…
Mercredi! That is my French word of the day, it means…Wednesday! Fun fact about me, I went to a French private school from 3rd to 12th grade and I can speak the language. I also stopped a train in France…that is very illegal to do. My friend was stuck in the train and it started departing ( we were supposed to exit and didn’t know we had 5 min to depart while a swarm of people embark). I don’t know what happened, but I panicked and realized it would be a whole day for them to go back to Lac D’Annecy and back to where I was. Thankfully, my superhero French came out that moment and the train stopped mid departure. I called some terrible things in French, but it was worth it.
Anyhow, today’s post is basically my favorite outfit ever! I have been looking all over the internet for a sequin black pencil skirt & finally…it arrived via USPS last night and went straight on my body. A sequined pencil skirt is one of my closet staples. Pairing it with a sexy top like this, or a basic tank, it just makes life easier because no matter what you pair with it, it will most likely look pretty phenomenal.
I mean, sequins!!

Happy Monday! I know it’s a late post, however, it’s been such a busy weekend! My two best friends are marrying each other (I’ll post that later this week). It was so lovely seeing two people share their love and it was such a beautiful event. I also got to dance like a maniac. I can’t stop shaking it when I hear middle eastern music!!!
Anyhow, I’ll talk about it more when I get to post about it. In the meantime, today’s outfit post features one of my favorite online stores: Tobi. Affordable, trendy, and new stuff comes in every day (dangerrrouuuusss). I’ve been looking for the perfect white bodysuit and ta-da!, Tobi delivered. This halter bodysuit is going to be a staple in my closet for sure.
Oh, and I took the plunge and straightened my hair. If ya’ll know me, this is a pretty big deal haha.

This post is purely for fun. I am not really the baggy pants kind of gal, nor the joggers kind of gal but today…I am. I woke up like this. No joke. I slept with these joggers, threw on a cropped tank and put my booties on from last night and went to grab my morning coffee. Several people complimented this look and to be honest, I was shocked. I thought…REALLY? Regardless of my reservations, I must say this is probably the most comfortable look I’ve put together. Another fun fact, I went straight home and watch re-runs of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Netflix (which I’m sure I’ve mentioned countless time this week, le sigh).
Cozy knits, big hair and fun booties= perfectly Fall! Today’s post is Fall appropriate, and thankfully Los Angeles has been cooling down, at least in the morning & evening. This striped boatneck sweater has immediately become my new snuggle buddy. Pairing my new love with my burgundy skinnies & “Kavia” booties from Shoedazzle, I am “falling for Fall” (I know, totally cheesy). I’m looking forward to more casual & comfy looks this season to post, so stay tuned :).

I’ve always loved high-waist flare denim, but finding a day to actually take them out of my closet has been a bit of challenge. Thankfully, the temperatures are a cool 70 degrees by 6 pm, which means I can bring my 70’s denim out without melting. A good pair of high waisted flare denim is a must! They always come back in style, and they’re figure flattering for every body type. Also, rich yellows is one of my favorite color choices. This yellow shirt is high-low, so being able to tuck it in my jeans and let the back loose allows me to keep my look casual.
Today, someone told me I looked like Sarah Michelle Gellar in the above picture, so considering I’ve been watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, that random comparison totally made my day. I know I’m such a geek…what can I do?
Here’s a fun fact about me: I used to carry a “stake” to school (it wasn’t very sharp) because I used to pretend I was a vampire slayer too. The life of a teenager where the internet was still so new & social media didn’t yet exist.
