It’s beginning to look a lot like Christma—wait…wrong song. Sure it’s just the first day of October but the Holidays are slowly sneaking up on us. I’m very excited about Halloween (I’m debating on being Mugatu from Zoolander or Jigsaw from Saw. I mean, it’s never too early to think about these things right? Oh, and pumpkin pie season is literally just around the corner…I’ll just stop rambling now. Ahhhh, I’m so excited for the Holidays!!! Who’s with me?
Today’s post is both work & date night friendly. Switch out the jacket for a blazer and you can re-wear this outfit, or take it a bit more professional the same day. This outfit was for a dinner date with a girlfriend & I just simply love the denim/leopard/red combination. It’s Fall, it’s clean, and it’s stylish. I know I’m usually all black, but people change…right?
Well, technically, Amal Clooney (still getting used to that!). Since I first saw images of this woman with womanizer George Clooney I was instantly intrigued. She was classy, educated, and successful. She projects confidence and doesn’t sell her body for attention. I have mad respect for this woman and as I’ve followed her through the media, I’ve seen her ever-evolving style. I.Am.Obsessed!
Amal’s style is classic and extremely chic. If I could (believe me, I would) rock almost everything I’ve seen her in. Her wedding style has been so on point, I am left speechless after every photo I see her. This woman truly has it all: brains, success, beauty, confidence, and Mr. George Clooney.
This Giambattista Vallidress went from runway to the streets of Italy. I need this dress in my life, however, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be sold out world-wide. Thanks Amal (it’s okay, my wallet forgives you).
It’s Monday! Yes, I’m actually really happy about it. This weekend was beyond perfect. I’ve been overworked the past few weeks & just needed some “I don’t want to use my brain” time. Saturday night I was able to play an array of classic arcade games. Sunday, I went to the Los Angeles County Fair. Oh. My. God. I ate almost everything in sight and went on all the rides (I got dizzy a lot but it was totally worth it!). It felt so good to just be carefree and enjoy the moment. I really must say, a proper day off really is the best medicine.
Anyhow, today’s outfit is what I wore to work. It’s finally Fall so I tried to captured the Fall with the photography. I’m a sucker for leather pants, and this deep oxblood color is a great statement piece. I paired these pants with a black & white striped blouse to give it some edge but still keep it professional. What are your thoughts on leather pants?
I hope you all had an amazing week. I’m currently struggling to type as I went a little heavy at the gym the past three days. My arms feel like JELLO but I’m pushing through! Thank you Crossfit Array, for torturing me yet keeping me tone (such a love-hate relationship).
One of my favorite “fashion” quotes is “I’ll stop wearing black when they make a darker color”. I mean, black is black. It’s easy, chic, and did I mention easy? Today’s look is a total black look with hardware. Basically, a very “me” outfit. Whats your go-to color?
Annnnnd, it’s Monday. But let’s remember that Monday’s don’t always be so bad. For one, it’s a new week which means you can re-do last week, sort of. I feel like Monday’s allow me to just tackle the week in new ways and they motivate me to push myself to be more productive than last week. Am I weird? Probably. A positive mind can make the most “meh” days a little better. Just try it…shake off the Monday blues and go “YAY! It’s Monday”…
If you find yourself bored at work, be sure to check out the new “SHOP” section on the bog. There you will find pieces you’ve seen on me as well as some affordable and chic pieces I’ve found.
Aside from that, I’ll be hosting a giveaway on the blog featuring the denim & leather clutch in today’s post! Stay tuned for details

I don’t usually post about my weekends, but after spending most of it coding and re-designing the site (and adding the SHOP feature), I felt like a kid in the candy store actually leaving the house this past Sunday. I went to the Lovers & Friends sample sale (left-empty handed) but just being out and enjoying the perfect weather in L.A was all I needed. It’s been over 100 degrees here and quite unbearable, however Sunday was 75 & breezy. The week is hopefully going to go well but juggling blogging, my career as a therapist & finalizing the last minute operations for my up-coming online store, Private Cartel, I’m exhausted!
Anyhow, I just want to thank you all for your constant support. I know I’ve been pretty off/on with blogging, but because of you I’ve really realized how passionate I am about it. It’s my creative outlet. Tell me, what do you do get your creative juices flowing?
I am so happy to be back to blogging more full-time. With school done and being well-adjusted back into work, I am able to prioritize blogging and really get my creative outlet going again. It’s been a busy week but I can’t complain since I hate being idle. However, I’m really excited about the weekend because it’s going me & Netflix all night long tonight. Oh, you may have noticed that Le Fashion Monster got a face lift, but if you go to the home page, I added a tab called SHOP so you can shop some of my favorites pieces I’ve found online, as well as products I’m wearing.
Today’s post is one of my personal favorites, I found this turtleneck crop (amongst my drawers and drawers full of black tops) and I had to immediately throw it on. I paired the top with my favorite pants ever (believe it or not, they make me look like I got a booty! Total win with these) from Evleo.
I also am obsessing over these Shoedazzle “Yves” heels. They not only look very expensive, they are super comfortable. I trotted around town for 9 hours in these babies. True story.
