Candy

Color, color, color! Although I am very committed to a classic color combination, otherwise known as black and white, there are moments where I get inspired and can’t resist juicy hues. Spring has arrived and one the seasons trends is zest. Yellow and green are two colors that would fit into that category. I was feeling a little bit like sunshine today, so I wore one of my favorite yellow shirts. I paired it a hot pink pleated skirt which gave me the feeling of candy. I love mixing textures as well so pairing pleats and ruffles definitely was fun to wear.

Prints, Black & Yellow

Tonight I attended a super fun even for Happiness brand at My Closet Italia on Melrose Ave. It was such a fun event and I always get excited for a reason to dress up after studying. If you didn’t know I am also getting my Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this post :) .

Roses, Skulls & Leather.

A leather skirt is a staple in my closet. I have over ten lengths and colors in my closet, but there is something special about an asymmetrical leather skirt that truly makes it my go-to item when I want to really create a bold, sexy, and playful look. The great thing about this skirt is that I can fold it over and make it longer or shorter. For today’s look I paired this sexy staple with one of my new favorite t-shirt lines; Hips & Hair. They’re a mixture of art & fashion and the blending of these two worlds is beautiful. Check them out and get inspired, as I’ll be posting a few looks with some of their epic shirts.

Denim & Lace

There’s something about lace and shredded denim that I love. I think that balancing the edge of distressed denim with a feminine texture and fabric like lace just adds a unique twist to such a strong look. The fact that the lace jacket is in the style of a motorcycle jacket still keeps the edge but adds a touch of femininity that really represents my style so well.

Bold & Juicy

I’m a sucker for color-blocking and and mixing prints with juicy bold colors. Today’s outfit is no exception. I paired with bold printed blouse with a juicy tangerine skirt to play off the hues in the blouse. I wore this for a quick lunch date and I must say I felt like walking happiness. When you wear bold colors it allows you to be the center of attention, in the best way possible! Besides, colors are fun and happy, and who doesn’t  want to exude those qualities? ;)

Classically Cool

Black and white…black and white…where do I begin? This color combination is the quintessential color palette for all thoughts chic. I know if I want a sophisticated and chic look, I run straight to these two colors. Of course, I always love to spice up something classic. This white and black outfit may appear simple, but I added a few tweaks to keep it fresh. Instead a crisp button down, I threw on a ruffled tunic. Instead of a solid black, I slipped on my new favorite jeans, wax coated skinny jeans from Articles of Society, and a fun pump…in highlighter yellow!

Sweet Spring with Bebe

As a blogger I have been blessed with countless opportunities and for that, I am extremely thankful! I have worked with so many wonderful brands, met incredible individuals in the fashion force, met and been inspired by so many other bloggers, and also, been able to have such a great following. I really can’t say how grateful I am to everyone I have crossed paths with and e-mailed.

Last week, one of my dearest blogger friends, Sydne Summer of Sydne Style hosted a darling luncheon at Bouchon for “Girls Who Lunch” with one of my favorite fashion-forward and affordable brands, Bebe. It was a lunch of epic fashion proportions! There was an adorable styling suite displaying the Spring collection (which is to die for!), pink champagne served in Bebe glasses (naturally!) and Los Angeles’s top fashion bloggers dressed in their best (with a staple Bebe item, obviously :) ) There a lovely lunch, and a lot of fashion chatter mixed with social media. If you’ve followed my Instagram (@LeFashnMonster), then I’m sure you saw my snap happy pictures!

Thank you to Sydne Summer, Bebe & Bouchon for such an inspirational, delicious and lovely event!

Packing a Punch

There is something about neutral hues that just look exceptional when paired with bold colors. One of my personal favorite color combinations is hot pink with camel. They balance off each other so beautifully and definitely create something super eye-catching.
