There is one print I either love, or really dislike: camouflage. Sometime’s I think it can be so effortlessly chic, the other times I can’t tolerate it. Regardless, the days I love it, I rock it. I guess that’s what happens with all of us right? What are some trends you have a love/hate relationship with?
Camouflage can be a great statement print. Today’s look I wear it on my pants. Another way I love to wear camouflage is in a t-shirt. Grab a pair of olive skinnies and throw the camouflage t-shirt on with a pair of nude pumps and you’re ready to go. With pants, I kept the top very neutral with black. Black is my favorite color to wear and I always try to incorporate it into every outfit I wear.
My obsession with camel is on-going and I don’t think it’s going to be over anytime soon. This camel coat from Lioness has quickly become my go-to coat for almost every look (see previous post here). I wear it with my denim, with my dresses, and with my work clothes. In today’s post I paired this camel coat with my favorite gray two-piece from my online store Private Cartel (get it here). I love the pairing of neutrals together, especially camel and gray.
A gray two-piece is a sexy yet chic way to create a unique going out look. Two-piece sets are all the rage and pairing it with a cool oversized coat makes this effortless and chic. For the Fall/Winter & Spring/Summer seasons, a camel coat is a definite must have. You can get a thicker one for the cooler seasons and a loose and thin trench for the warmer seasons.
Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot with Leyna of Yellow Heart Photography. Leyna is one of the most incredible natural light photographers out there and when she reached out to collaborate on a photo shoot, I couldn’t resist. With Leyna, we had a general idea of what we wanted to accomplish, but we didn’t plan too much. Together, we used what we each delivered that day, our minds. Together we did a set of seven completely different looks each with their own story. Today I have the honor of sharing one of the first looks we shot at Solstice Canyon in California. I love the idea of sequins & basics paired together. I took my favorite sequin jacket out of the closet (where it’s been sadly gathering dust) and knew I wanted to use it for this shoot. With Leyna’s vision, we created this.
The vibe of this set to me is like a glam version of boy scouts. The wooden seating, the nature, the tree trunk, it just felt perfect to be one with nature. Sequins can be tricky but when worn as a statement they add so much fun to every look. With the holiday’s coming up, a sequin jacket is a great way to add some sparkle. Shop similar jackets below
I’m not usually wearing animal-print, but when I do, it’s typically my statement piece. This leopard coat has been in my closet for years and it’s one of my favorite animal-print items I own. It’s soft, comfortable and it keeps me warm! A leopard coat is a great way to take a basic outfit up a notch. Since the leopard print is very dominant, I just wore my favorite DSTLD coated high-waist skinnies with a basic tank.
Since my leopard coat is pretty old, I can’t find it online, however, I found some similar ones (and one’s I actually like better) in the Shop The Post section at the bottom of this post.
One of my favorite colors to wear (aside from black) is camel. I love how it softens up any look and really goes with everything. There is also something sexy and sophisticated about a camel colored coat. The way it looks, the way it makes you feel…a camel coat is a must-have in every woman’s closet (you can see my past love for camel here).
Today’s post is about my new favorite camel colored coat. Here’s something amazing about it too, it was under $120! You can shop similar coats below (they’re too good to pass up!).
I love the holidays, and dressing for them can be a challenge. One of my favorite trends this holiday season is wearing a trench as a dress. This kind of look could be pulled off for all occasions, however, depending on the style and length, it could look too sexy or frumpy–so be sure to choose a trench coat that has a light fabric. This one from DailyLook is amazing (get it here). It’s lightweight and has a very cool sheen to it, it looks metallic (and it’s under $80). I added a pair of super fun stone earrings and a just to really make it festive and “bling-bling” (I can’t believe I just said that), I wore these adorable and comfortable heels from Shoedazzle. To top it all off, I created a bold lip with L’OREAL Colour Riche in “British Red”.
I’ll have a lot of holiday looks coming to the blog this month, so stay tuned! I’ll cover sequins, to feathers, to winter whites…

I’m totally blasting Christmas music right now…I am 100% in the christmas spirit!
Happy Monday! I hope you all got to check out my Cyber Monday guide (if not, check it out here). I know I did a lot of holiday shopping myself. I’m one of those people who handles the holidays early so I can avoid the anxiety that tends to come along as Christmas comes closer and closer.
I hope you guys had a lovely weekend and getting back into the grind hasn’t been too painful. Today’s post is super fun. Last week I shot with 1015 store in Downtown L.A and got to parade around the streets in some pretty fun outfits. This is one of them!
