Valentine’s Day Inspiration

As I mentioned before, I was able to shoot with the amazing Leyna of Yellow Heart Photography back in December, and I am super excited to share more images from the shoot. Since Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, I hope to get you inspired to feel love and fall in love with these images. Love doesn’t start on the outside, it starts on the inside. Look inside yourself and tell yourself FIVE things you love about…YOU! When you appreciate what you have within you, others can too.

The whole concept of this shoot was “Snow White”, but a modern version. Red with nature is such a beautiful pairing. Finding beauty in the simplest form is so important, and I hope this Valentine’s Day Inspiration actually inspires you!

black and gold dress

I love a good dress as much as the next girl, however, I love little black dresses that have a unique twist to them. This “Casino Royale” dress from Private Cartel is my new fave! I love the skater skirt bottom and the gold and black lace detail on the top. It’s sexy and comfortable and it’s super fun to twirl in!

distressed denim

TGIF!!! Right? What a week it’s been. But, of course, I’m so grateful no matter what obstacles come my way. I hope you all are excited for the weekend!

One of my favorite staples in my wardrobe is denim. You can never have too much! I have been on the hunt looking for a light-washed distressed denim and stumbled upon these gorgeous and super comfortable ones from DSTLDĀ (get these babies here). The best part…they were under $100! Distressed denim is a transitional denim, they work no matter what season you’re in and they add a fun little edge to a casual look.

I paired these ripped mid-rise cigarette cut jeans with a sheer blouse and a camel coat, and to top it off, I wore the “Le Fashion Monster” necklace from my online store Private Cartel (get it here). Distressed denim is my go-to as of late, I’ve learned to appreciate the fun distressed denim has to offer and sometime’s I want to feel like a “bad ass”.

little plaid skirt

Hope you’re all having an amazing week so far! So much has been happening and I spent the weekend shooting graffiti in Downtown Los Angeles. While I was there, I had to do an outfit shoot and although some of the images are blurry, they are still pretty exciting for me!

A little plaid skirt is always a fun statement piece, and because I was in such a fun mood, I decided to play up the whole school girl look. Obviously, with an edge! I’m the girl who shows up to these cool walls in DTLA during “school hours” and pretends to skip school (I would never). But, we can pretend I’m a “too cool for school” kind of gal (so pun-ny eh?)

If you haven’t noticed I’ve been obsessing over these “Schuyler” boots from Shoedazzle. They’re so fun and comfortable!

the sweater skirt

I have just found my new favorite trend: the shirt skirt! Bascially, it’s a skirt that looks like you made it out of an oversized shirt, or in this case sweater. This sweater skirt is quite possibly the cutest AND coziest thing (it kept my bare legs super warm!) in my closet!!

I love this color scheme as you may have noticed from my most recent posts, but I’m seriously crushing on anything gray right now. This sweater skirt is a major must-have!

Other exciting news, I’ve shot two YouTube videos this weekend and I absolutely cannot wait to share with you guys. Be sure to stop by my YouTube channel and subscribe! I promise it will be worth it! Also, let me know what ya’ll would want to see in videos. I’ll be showing you how to wear these booties a few different ways too, and maybe I’ll have to squeeze in another post with this sweater skirt…#addicted!

black joggers

Some days are meant to be lazy…today is one of them. When I say lazy, I mean I put on heels with my joggers. Don’t judge me? I’m still learning to get comfortable with casual clothing so please bear with me! The weather in L.A went from 56 degrees to 86 degree in 24 hours. I have to say, I’m a winter baby so cold weather appeals more to me than warm weather (am I crazy?).

Black joggers are the most comfortable and on-trend pant right now, and I am loving every second of it! I can seriously wear these babies everyday! Actually…I think I might. That’s normal right?

Casual, on-trend and comfortable…that’s today’s outfit of the day!

cozy fringe

Cozy. Cozy may be one of my favorite words. When I think of the word I think about being bundled up, snuggled next to my dog, sipping a warm drink and just being in the moment. I know this is an unusual pairing but I love mixing unique items together and creating a fun look. This oversized knit with my favorite fringe skirt is a fun look for me. It’s playful but still relatively casual.

One of my goals for 2015 is to wear less make up, dress more casually and to be comfortable. I have a lot of other personal goals that I’ll share in a different post. But one thing for sure is I am going to start my YouTube channel (you can subscribe here). I’m shooting some fun videos this Friday including tutorials on how to get voluminous curls and put on fake eyelashes. I’m excited to venture into the world of video and hope you guys enjoy the videos to come.

I thank you all for your continuous support. You guys have helped me better myself and reach goals I never thought I could reach. Cheers to more “cozy” in our lives!
