This post is purely for fun. I am not really the baggy pants kind of gal, nor the joggers kind of gal but today…I am. I woke up like this. No joke. I slept with these joggers, threw on a cropped tank and put my booties on from last night and went to grab my morning coffee. Several people complimented this look and to be honest, I was shocked. I thought…REALLY? Regardless of my reservations, I must say this is probably the most comfortable look I’ve put together. Another fun fact, I went straight home and watch re-runs of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Netflix (which I’m sure I’ve mentioned countless time this week, le sigh).
Cozy knits, big hair and fun booties= perfectly Fall! Today’s post is Fall appropriate, and thankfully Los Angeles has been cooling down, at least in the morning & evening. This striped boatneck sweater has immediately become my new snuggle buddy. Pairing my new love with my burgundy skinnies & “Kavia” booties from Shoedazzle, I am “falling for Fall” (I know, totally cheesy). I’m looking forward to more casual & comfy looks this season to post, so stay tuned :).

I’ve always loved high-waist flare denim, but finding a day to actually take them out of my closet has been a bit of challenge. Thankfully, the temperatures are a cool 70 degrees by 6 pm, which means I can bring my 70’s denim out without melting. A good pair of high waisted flare denim is a must! They always come back in style, and they’re figure flattering for every body type. Also, rich yellows is one of my favorite color choices. This yellow shirt is high-low, so being able to tuck it in my jeans and let the back loose allows me to keep my look casual.
Today, someone told me I looked like Sarah Michelle Gellar in the above picture, so considering I’ve been watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, that random comparison totally made my day. I know I’m such a geek…what can I do?
Here’s a fun fact about me: I used to carry a “stake” to school (it wasn’t very sharp) because I used to pretend I was a vampire slayer too. The life of a teenager where the internet was still so new & social media didn’t yet exist.

Wow, what a scorcher! This weekend was beyond hot. I love warm weather but when it’s 109…in October- it’s not very enjoyable.
Well, like Paul Rudd as Kunu in Forgetting Sarah Marshall said; “The weather outside is…weather”. So, let’s just skip the weather report and get down to today’s outfit post.
Today’s outfit is stereotypical me. Black and white. White and black. I recently got this super fun hat and decided to take it out immediately (impulsive much?). I paired my black shredded jeans and black Shoedazzle boots to complete the look. I’m also wearing the black/white vest dress from my upcoming online store; Private Cartel.
TGIF! Another week has gone and another weekend is among us! I don’t know about you but I can’t even remember what I’ve done all week. It’s been crazy, but I can’t complain. Juggling blogging, my internship as a Marriage & Family Therapist and starting my own business (check out the progress here), the weekend is something I look forward to. Although I still work, I allot time for myself on the weekend to avoid burn out. Burn out is one of the worst things we can to do to ourselves. No matter what, make time for YOU.
Today’s outfit post is back to the basics: total black. The weather (it’s 90 degrees still) is not exactly Fall fashion friendly here in Los Angeles, but thankfully there is air conditioning which allows me to pull of some Fall trends. Today’s trend is the oversized coat. What I love about this coat is not only it’s versatility but the patent sleeves. It gives it an edgy touch yet the cut and length keep is classic.

Today I wanted to discuss my love for one of Fall’s biggest trends, Metallic. Metallic can be incorporated into your wardrobe as a statement piece or an everyday piece. Of course metallic doesn’t always mean super shiny, super bold and super obvious. There are so many great pieces that have hints of metallic so if you’re not ready to take the plunge, you don’t have to!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christma—wait…wrong song. Sure it’s just the first day of October but the Holidays are slowly sneaking up on us. I’m very excited about Halloween (I’m debating on being Mugatu from Zoolander or Jigsaw from Saw. I mean, it’s never too early to think about these things right? Oh, and pumpkin pie season is literally just around the corner…I’ll just stop rambling now. Ahhhh, I’m so excited for the Holidays!!! Who’s with me?
Today’s post is both work & date night friendly. Switch out the jacket for a blazer and you can re-wear this outfit, or take it a bit more professional the same day. This outfit was for a dinner date with a girlfriend & I just simply love the denim/leopard/red combination. It’s Fall, it’s clean, and it’s stylish. I know I’m usually all black, but people change…right?
