cape town

One of my favorite trends ever is the cape jacket. Who doesn’t want to stroll around the city pretending their a fashionable super hero? I know I do! They call me Super Fashion Monster (uhhh, okay, maybe not). Let’s forget I made that super lame joke, okay? Anyhow, this cape is from Missguided and it’s only $100, how awesomely amazing is that?  I paired this heroic fashion statement with professional zippered pants and a classic crisp white button up.

You can get this amazing cape here.

spring has sprung

One of my favorite trends ever…CASUAL. A crisp top and a snazzy pair of denim is a look that will always stand the test of time. This amazing cap-sleeve button up is from Forever 21 (can you believe it?) and these high-waist beauts are Dittos. I have to admit, I am really looking forward to Spring/Summer and all the fun trends that are making their way from the runway to the streets.

I love traditional button up’s however I’m really loving the cap-sleeve trend for the warmer seasons. You still maintain that polished chic look but you don’t have to melt (which is a good thing!).

What’s one of your favorite Spring/Summer trend for 2015?

Myne OH Myne

Sorry for not posting in awhile guys, my silly face went on a bad website (NOT THAT KIND) and got a horrible virus on my laptop where it basically stalled me and spammed me with pop-ups for the past two weeks. Alas, AppleCare pulled through and saved me $200! So back to blogging and boy do I have some GREAT posts coming up for you guys :)

Today’s look is one of my favorite dresses from Myne. It’s been seen on Kim Kardashian and comes in a plethora of colors. I chose this navy blue because navy to me is one of the chicest colors. I paired this dress with cognac brown to balance it out. I love navy with white, browns and silver. You could go either way with this.

A silky dress like this is perfect year-round. Great in the summer with sandals and great in the winter with boots.

Get Summer Ready: 5 Tips to Be Ready for Summer

Summer is coming guys! And as much as we get so excited about it’s arrival, we always think about what our summer plans are going to be way in advance. Sure, planning trips prior is important, but there are so many other steps we forget to take when wanting to get summer ready. Today’s post is about how to have a stress-free summer starting…NOW!

Step 1: Think About Your Summer Plans

Reflecting back on last summer, I remembered how ready I thought I was for the sun, the sea and lots of fun. Except I forget a few key things which were essential to making my summer a breeze!  Think about what you’ve got planned for the summer! Check hotel rates, cities, and restaurants you want to explore. Being able to think ahead about what your summer plans are crucial. Leaving those kind of things to the last minute can be a major headache, and it can be costly. Sure spontaneous trips are great, however, going to Europe or some tropical place requires advanced planning. Don’t break the bank trying to make something work. It’s not fun stressing out planning a quick long-distance trip.

Step 2: Plan Your Beauty Treatments

We all know having to shave the day of for a day at the beach can be NOT FUN. Who wants razor bumps and to feel the sting of the shave while you’re in the ocean? Not me. Any skin treatments you want to have done should be done in advance. Get a body scrub so your skin is fresh for your trip. Doing laser? Start NOW. Laser treatments take between 3-6 sessions for the best results and there is a 4-6 week gap per treatment. So plan your treatments now so you can just throw on that bathing suit and not worry about shaving! If you’re in Los Angeles, mention LE FASHION MONSTER and get $10 off your laser treatments at FLAWLESS LASER CENTER (they are amazing and I get all treatments there). I’m Middle-Eastern so I am stoked for the summer now, I will be hairless! YAY!

Step 3: Plan Your Outfits

Why plan your outfits? Easy. Imagine you just landed and you’ve CHECKED into your hotel. Now, you unpack what you quickly packed prior and realize your bikinis don’t match and you don’t have complete looks. We can spend a lot of time over-thinking our looks when we are on vacation so it’s important to have an idea of what looks you want to take. Daytime looks, nighttime looks and beach looks all require effort if you want to look your best. Bring a few pair of jeans and multiple tops that go with the denim for your everyday looks. For the beach, throw in the suits and some cute sarongs/kaftans for an effortlessly chic vibe. Of course, always leave some room for your shopping adventures while on vacation!

Step 4: Fitspo BEFORE You Go!

Start your workouts in winter whether it’s at-home routines or full blown gym sessions. Keep going until the summer, you’ll work less hard to achieve that summer ready body you’ve wanted. Start with at home-routines of sit-ups, push-ups and squats and slowly progress to more intense workouts. Stay active all year round, but if you’re not one to keep the whole fitness overload in the winter, that’s okay, but never stop moving that body, you’ll not only look better, you’ll feel better too.

Step 5: ENJOY!

In a world filled with constant stress and anxiety, the most important thing we all forget to do is ENJOY THE MOMENT! Sure, we have a lot on our minds and have things we have to take care of but turn those phones off and LIVE! We spend too much time thinking ahead when sometimes we just need to think about the now. Disconnecting and being present is so healthy to do and it makes you happy.

stripes and denim

It may not be Spring yet but I couldn’t help but pretend like it was yesterday. I was playing dress up with a fun boutique in Encino and I came in wearing layer and walked with this. This super fun knot front striped top paired with this super light wash denim and basic black pumps is a perfect go-to Spring outfit. Stripes and denim is a quintessential look for every season! It never goes out of style and just by changing the wash of your denim, you can truly make this transitional.

Stripes and denim are two essentials in my closet. I have oodles of denim in practically every wash and bajillion striped tops. Whether they are long-sleeve, short-sleeve, or blouses, they consume my wardrobe. I definitely can’t complain nor can I say I don’t have any classic pieces.

Cinderella Moment

Thanks to Disney and quite possibly one of my favorite movies of all time, Cinderella, I got majorly inspired to create my own Cinderella moment. I did a fun sponsored post on Instagram (@LeFashnMonster) for Disney to help spread the word of Cinderella coming into theaters soon (March 13th!) and had to share this photo with you guys because I have never done such a fun photo. Thanks to my dear friend Maryam for allowing me to feel like Cinderella in her lovely dress and to one of my favorite people ever (who also has been shooting my photos and doing my videos) Raphael for taking the time to get up wayyyy early on a Saturday and shoot this photo for me ( and edit it, you can check out his STELLAR work here).

Are you excited about Disney’s Cinderella to come out? I know I am…although if I had to list my favorite princesses in order they would be: Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, and Cinderella. Just sayinnnnn

stripes x leather

One of my favorite go-to looks is a leather pencil skirt and a blouse. This look is great for both work and a night out on the town (or in my case, dinner followed by a Netflix binge). Finding a good leather pencil skirt, or leatherette skirt is hard to find, but thank the heavens, this one from Missguided fits like a glove and is made from vegan leather (yay!). I paired this skirt with a black and white striped blouse to give it some edge and contrast.

I also threw on a basic black pump since I wore this work and wanted to keep the look chic and not too trendy. It’s hard to see clients when you’re head-to-toe in trendy pieces. The leather pencil skirt was definitely the statement piece in this look. I absolutely love the camel hue as well and you can also sport a fun crop top with this skirt to create an edgier and sexier look for a hot date :)

Sorry for the blurry photos, my camera was acting out a bit!
