stripes and denim

It may not be Spring yet but I couldn’t help but pretend like it was yesterday. I was playing dress up with a fun boutique in Encino and I came in wearing layer and walked with this. This super fun knot front striped top paired with this super light wash denim and basic black pumps is a perfect go-to Spring outfit. Stripes and denim is a quintessential look for every season! It never goes out of style and just by changing the wash of your denim, you can truly make this transitional.

Stripes and denim are two essentials in my closet. I have oodles of denim in practically every wash and bajillion striped tops. Whether they are long-sleeve, short-sleeve, or blouses, they consume my wardrobe. I definitely can’t complain nor can I say I don’t have any classic pieces.

Cinderella Moment

Thanks to Disney and quite possibly one of my favorite movies of all time, Cinderella, I got majorly inspired to create my own Cinderella moment. I did a fun sponsored post on Instagram (@LeFashnMonster) for Disney to help spread the word of Cinderella coming into theaters soon (March 13th!) and had to share this photo with you guys because I have never done such a fun photo. Thanks to my dear friend Maryam for allowing me to feel like Cinderella in her lovely dress and to one of my favorite people ever (who also has been shooting my photos and doing my videos) Raphael for taking the time to get up wayyyy early on a Saturday and shoot this photo for me ( and edit it, you can check out his STELLAR work here).

Are you excited about Disney’s Cinderella to come out? I know I am…although if I had to list my favorite princesses in order they would be: Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, and Cinderella. Just sayinnnnn

stripes x leather

One of my favorite go-to looks is a leather pencil skirt and a blouse. This look is great for both work and a night out on the town (or in my case, dinner followed by a Netflix binge). Finding a good leather pencil skirt, or leatherette skirt is hard to find, but thank the heavens, this one from Missguided fits like a glove and is made from vegan leather (yay!). I paired this skirt with a black and white striped blouse to give it some edge and contrast.

I also threw on a basic black pump since I wore this work and wanted to keep the look chic and not too trendy. It’s hard to see clients when you’re head-to-toe in trendy pieces. The leather pencil skirt was definitely the statement piece in this look. I absolutely love the camel hue as well and you can also sport a fun crop top with this skirt to create an edgier and sexier look for a hot date :)

Sorry for the blurry photos, my camera was acting out a bit!

denim on denim

Denim is one of my absolute favorite things to wear. A denim jacket, denim skirt, denim shirt…you name it, I’ll rock it! There are so many different variations of denim that make it such a versatile fabric. No matter what you wear denim as, it’s always a great piece to add your look.

Today’s look is one of my personal favorite pairings; denim on denim. A denim on denim look is super easy to rock and super comfortable. When trying to achieve a denim on denim look, make sure your denim somewhat matches, not too much, but if you’re wearing light denim, opt for a light wash denim shirt. However, if you’re wearing white denim, you can sport any color denim as a top, and vice versa.

Happy Monday ya’ll! I know it’s been a slow week here on the blog, but I’ve working SO hard on shooting some fun YouTube videos for you guys! Don’t forget to subscribe because every week I’ll be posting some good stuff for you.

Today’s outfit is definitely one of the most comfortable looks I’ve ever rocked and I have to say, I’m pretty much obsessed with this activewear line called LolΓ«. Everything about this look is from them (except for the shoes). The cozy cardigan is so incredible and soft, the joggers are like butter and ultra comfortable, and the top is basically my new go-to. I am pretty sure I need this top in every single color because I can’t stop wearing it. Another amazing thing, this entire look is on sale and you can shop it below (scoooreeeeee)

camel coat vibes

Guys…it’s MONDAY! I can’t believe how fast the weekend has come and gone and I think we should all have four day weekend all the time, right? Sheeesh!

Last week was super crazy for me and I can’t even tell you how happy I was to basically be lazy this weekend. Friday I had an awesome meeting with one of my favorite online retailers and this is what I wore!

You’ve seen this camel coat a few times on the blog, and let me tell you it’s one of my absolute favorite pieces in my closet. A classic coat is essential, and to have black, gray, white and camel should be something you invest in. The colors are transitional and a great coat can be worn year-round.

This is a look thats easy to transition from day to night. I love the color balance of camel, black and white. The stone heels add a little bit of personality to the otherwise polished look. Oh, and of course, I had to throw on my fringe bag too :). I’m a sucker for little excess sometimes!

denim romper

Happy ThursdayΒ everyone! What a week, yowza! Yesterday I had such a fun time with some fellow blogger babes at a luncheon at Daily Dose Cafe and WHAT A BLAST! With such a crazy schedule, it’s hard to make time to see my babes who also blog. We all support each other and it’s so nice to see women empowering other women. What and/or who empowers you?

For the luncheon, I wore this adorable denim romper from Private Cartel (it will be available online soon) paired with a funky fringe bag and my favorite sunnies that gave me a super 70’s vibe!

I’m a sucker for the seventies, I love the big hair, flare, fringe, basically…anything goes! This denim romper was super comfortable to wear too because it was very lightweight. I don’t normally wear rompers because I have SUCH Β a long torso, but thankfully this one fit me perfectly. Hallelujah!

A great way to rock a denim romper is with neutrals. I went with a brown palette but black is also a very popular color to pair this look with as well. Remember, when rocking anything denim, keep it FUN!
