I hope you all had an amazing week. I’m currently struggling to type as I went a little heavy at the gym the past three days. My arms feel like JELLO but I’m pushing through! Thank you Crossfit Array, for torturing me yet keeping me tone (such a love-hate relationship).
One of my favorite “fashion” quotes is “I’ll stop wearing black when they make a darker color”. I mean, black is black. It’s easy, chic, and did I mention easy? Today’s look is a total black look with hardware. Basically, a very “me” outfit. Whats your go-to color?
It’s official! Summer is over and it’s the first day of the Fall season. Fall is my absolute favorite month for many reasons. I love the cooler temperatures, the beginning of the holiday season, the change in foliage, and all the new Fall trends! Below is a quick cheat-sheet on what’s big for this season as well some affordable & wearable items that would be a great addition to mine, and your, wardrobe. This list is not definitive, however, throughout the season I’ll update more trends that are making their way from runway to real world.
1. 50 Shades of Grey
Grey is one of Fall’s hottest hue’s…in every shade. Layering shades of grey was huge on runways & it’s easy to re-create off the runway. Grey is a color that flatters every skin tone & is versatile to wear. You can add a pop of color to an all-gray ensemble or use gray as a base. I’m looking forward to mixing variations of grey hues to create perfect Fall look.
2. Hello, Moto!
Live on the edge! If you can’t commit to full-blown motorcycle chic, add a motorcycle jacket or bootie to create a unique look. Take a psychedelic print or dark florals and pair it with an edgy moto piece.

3. Knit Whit
Knits are a Fall staple, however this season, the chunkier the better. If you’re in Los Angeles like me, wearing knits may be a challenge, however the night’s get chilly enough to invest in at least one knitted piece. Coincidentally, bold turtlenecks are also another major Fall trend! I selected a couple dresses I simply fell in love with, however a basic knitted sweater or cardigan is also a great way to incorporate this trend.
4. Hard Metal
This may be my favorite trend…ever. I love adding hardware to almost everything I wear. Whether I added a studded clutch or boot, I always manage to add some sort of metal to my looks. Not only is metal a major trend, metallics are all over the runways. From gold to bronze to silver, metallics are not just for your hardware on your accessories.
This is just one post of what to see & possibly wear this Fall! Thanks for reading
Last night I invited to the Juicy Couture x Kohl’s event at one of LA’s most unique homes; The Sheats Goldstein Residence. Overlooking the city lights of Los Angeles while sipping white wine, listening to tunes & mingling with some of my other fellow bloggers, I was able to experience the excitement of this pretty epic collaboration. I loved the floral wall embellished with Swarovski crystals & the cool idea of InstaPrint. InstaPrint prints Polaroid-like stickers based off a certain hashtag: #JuicyKohls. You can go on Instagram (follow me @LeFashnMonster) and search the hashtag for more images from the event.
I didn’t take an outfit post because I came straight for work (I’m a Marriage & Family Therapist) & didn’t have time to change.Read more
Only four more days of Istanbul left but it’s okay…I actually miss work a lot. I miss my clients, my friends & most of all, driving! I never drive here (the traffic and drivers are ridiculous!) so I’m excited to get behind the wheel. Today’s look is very monochromatic and golden hues are some of my favorites to wear. There is something about the olive/gold combo I can’t seem to get enough of. Hope you’re all having a lovely summer as well :).
Summer is just beginning for me and I wanted to let you all know I am launching an online store come late September/ early October. It’s called Private Cartel and we will be selling mens and womenswear as well as accessories for both. We are having a pre-launch sale event this Sunday and if you’re in LA come stop by!
Be sure to sign up on the site for a friends & family promotion when we go live! In the meantime, here’s today’s post
Hope you’ve all had a safe fourth of July weekend :). Mine was very relaxing and it felt good to be mellow and productive. Lots of reading eating for me! Today’s look was from last weekend. I bought this cream skirt from Zara and thought it was such an elegant piece. I opted for a sequined top add a different texture as well as keep the neutral color palette. Nothing like sparkling at night :).
Today’s post is a bit more casual than normal. I recently bought this skirt and fell in love with the colors. I figured I could do any color as a top to keep it bright but opted for a fun lightwash denim blouse. I also have found a pair of “flats” (okay, they have a small heel to them) that I am obsessing over. They are so comfortable and go with practically anything.
The past month has been extra hectic, and I sincerely apologize for the constant lack of posting as of late. I’m trying to juggle my career and blogging simultaneously but sometimes it’s get really challenging after long work weeks to take pictures and get dressed up. Also, when I do, it’s usually too late to take a picture or I just completely forget. I do post almost daily to Instagram (@LeFashnMonster) so be sure to check that out when you can.
Anyhow, I do hope you all have been having a lovely start to the summer. I’m slowly getting ready for my trip Istanbul, Turkey in early August!
Today’s post was all about having fun. I was actually inspired my side swept full bangs today so decided to play off them. I know it’s a little menswear retro, but sometimes it’s fun to really just dress up.
Okay, it’s not really the new black, but the T.V is show premiering it’s new season this week…and for that, I’m happy! I know it’s been awhile, but it’s been one roller coaster of a month. As much as I love fashion and blogging, the mental health field is where my career and future lies. I have working toward building my name in the mental health community and working through getting my intern number and bulking up on clients to get my 3,000 hours done so I can open my practice within the next two years.
Anyhow, I’ll be posting more often though. I do miss the excitement of dressing up and not wearing suits all day!
I can’t help but sing that song non-stop and for some reason if I were in the country, I’d wear this. It may be too dressy but I don’t care. I’m really loving denim jackets and cream colored dresses. It’s so simple but still has a personality. I paired the two basics with a bold clutch and some fun lace-up heels.
