venice stripes

This past week two of my lovely friends came to visit from Istanbul, Turkey. Together we all went on some amazing dinner adventures (a favorite pastime). It was so nice being able to speak my native tongue and I actually feel as though I’ve improved in speaking Turkish so it was definitely a great week. You know when you don’t speak a language for awhile it gets a little rusty but as soon as you speak it comes back somehow. Thank goodness! Our brains are miraculous.

In today’s post I re-cap what I wore yesterday as we went to Venice beach and at The Tasting Kitchen. It was definitely a dining experience I wish to have again. We order a charcuterie + cheese plate, the octopus, the yellowtail hamachi, and lasagnette pasta. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was super cozy.

I’m sure you’ve noticed this pleated leather skirt from previous posts, but I have to admit- a leather pleated skirt is a great closet staple. This baby comes out every season. I would high suggest investing in one (I’ve added similar styles to SHOP THE POST at the bottom of this post).

black jumpsuit

I think that a simple dress or jumpsuit can be sexier than a mini-skirt or a flirty top. This knockout number from Private Cartel is just that! I love the open back and I also love that this romper has a clasp in the front so you can go either really sexy or clean (like how I wore it). The thing about jumpsuits and rompers is this: I have a long torso so it’s very RARE for me to find anything in this category that looks decent. I’ve found maybe a handful of them in my life so when I got this black beauty and tried it on, I was soooooo happy it actually fit me properly! HALLELUJAH!!!

Also, did I mention this jumpsuit is only $58? Even better! I am such a sucker for a good deal. You can shop this jumpsuit and get a discount with a special promo code below :)

the blues

What’s cooler than a colored high-waist trouser? Nothing. These royal blue trousers came in the mail last week and the minute I saw them, I squealed like an excited little girl on Christmas morning! These babies are the perfect statement piece for Spring/Summer and I simply cannot wait to wear these all season long.

Just a quick reminder ya’ll, be sure to follow me on my social media channels! So much happening! And be sure to subscribe to my YouTube guys, new videos EVERY WEEK! You can do that HERE.

cape town

One of my favorite trends ever is the cape jacket. Who doesn’t want to stroll around the city pretending their a fashionable super hero? I know I do! They call me Super Fashion Monster (uhhh, okay, maybe not). Let’s forget I made that super lame joke, okay? Anyhow, this cape is from Missguided and it’s only $100, how awesomely amazing is that? Β I paired this heroic fashion statement with professional zippered pants and a classic crisp white button up.

You can get this amazing cape here.

spring has sprung

One of my favorite trends ever…CASUAL. A crisp top and a snazzy pair of denim is a look that will always stand the test of time. This amazing cap-sleeve button up is from Forever 21 (can you believe it?) and these high-waist beauts are Dittos. I have to admit, I am really looking forward to Spring/Summer and all the fun trends that are making their way from the runway to the streets.

I love traditional button up’s however I’m really loving the cap-sleeve trend for the warmer seasons. You still maintain that polished chic look but you don’t have to melt (which is a good thing!).

What’s one of your favorite Spring/Summer trend for 2015?

coffee coat

Even though Winter is leaving us fast, I’m still digging my outerwear. I am throwing it on every chance I get and with living in L.A, temperatures can go from 80 degrees to 60 degrees (freezing, brr- just kidding!). This amazing coffee colored coat is from SheInside and it’s under $50 (get it here)! I paired it with charcoal denim and my leopard heels. This particular color is one of my favorites because it’s such a rich color and adds instant warmth to your face.

The great thing about this hue is that it’s also quite transitional, add some neon or anything on the neutral spectrum and you’ll have a super chic look.

Myne OH Myne

Sorry for not posting in awhile guys, my silly face went on a bad website (NOT THAT KIND) and got a horrible virus on my laptop where it basically stalled me and spammed me with pop-ups for the past two weeks. Alas, AppleCare pulled through and saved me $200! So back to blogging and boy do I have some GREAT posts coming up for you guys :)

Today’s look is one of my favorite dresses from Myne. It’s been seen on Kim Kardashian and comes in a plethora of colors. I chose this navy blue because navy to me is one of the chicest colors. I paired this dress with cognac brown to balance it out. I love navy with white, browns and silver. You could go either way with this.

A silky dress like this is perfect year-round. Great in the summer with sandals and great in the winter with boots.
