cozy fringe

Cozy. Cozy may be one of my favorite words. When I think of the word I think about being bundled up, snuggled next to my dog, sipping a warm drink and just being in the moment. I know this is an unusual pairing but I love mixing unique items together and creating a fun look. This oversized knit with my favorite fringe skirt is a fun look for me. It’s playful but still relatively casual.

One of my goals for 2015 is to wear less make up, dress more casually and to be comfortable. I have a lot of other personal goals that I’ll share in a different post. But one thing for sure is I am going to start my YouTube channel (you can subscribe here). I’m shooting some fun videos this Friday including tutorials on how to get voluminous curls and put on fake eyelashes. I’m excited to venture into the world of video and hope you guys enjoy the videos to come.

I thank you all for your continuous support. You guys have helped me better myself and reach goals I never thought I could reach. Cheers to more “cozy” in our lives!

gray skinny jeans

Happy 2015 ya’ll!

One of my favorite hue’s to wear is any shade of gray. These gray skinny jeans from DSTLD are awesome (get them here). They fit perfectly and are super soft, they almost feel like leggings. Good denim is hard to find so I’m excited to share this find with you guys! These gray skinny jeans along with all their denim is under $100, score!

I paired my gray skinny jeans with black because it’s a color combination I live by. Gray is one of those colors that can blend well with so many others. It’s a great transitional hue and works season after season.

On another note, I am starting my YouTube channel. Please subscribe here! I will have videos on fashion, beauty/hair and general lifestyle. I can’t wait to share with you some fun videos. Please e-mail or comment below with what you’d like to see on there.

t-shirt and jeans

Lately I’ve been all about denim, denim, denim. Denim has become essential in my closet and part of my daily uniform. I used to be the girl who pranced around in skirts all the time, but as I started working I became conditioned to wearing slacks, and on my off time, denim.

There is something super chic about a basic t-shirt and jeans. It’s an effortless look that has become forgotten, but I’m glad to see the t-shirt and jeans combination coming back full force, but spiced up- with unique coats and/or shoes. This camel coat from Lioness is my absolute favorite (you can see it worn in previous posts here & here) and wearing it with my t-shirt and jeans just became one of my favorite outfits. I’m also still swooning of the “Satine” bootie from Shoedazzle.

With less than 24 hours to go in 2014, remember to make 2015 a year of classic combinations, like a t-shirt and jeans. Tomorrow’s post will be a fun look as well as my “resolutions” and what I’ve learned the past year. Thank you all for making 2014 great and let’s make 2015 even better!

pink turtleneck

There is something about pink I just love; it’s girly, it’s cute, and it makes me want to just have fun! This pink turtleneck is from Lioness and I am obsessed!! I love how soft the material is and all I’m doing as I type this in this pink turtleneck is cozying up to a warm cup of coffee. There is nothing like a good cuddle-worthy knit :)

I love pairing pink with neutrals, like camel, black, gray and of course, white. It definitely adds a nice pop. Pink can be an overwhelming color but it’s important to balance it with something a little less eye-catching. I paired my pink turtleneck with my nude pumps to keep the rest of the outfit simple.

Hope ya’ll like!

new year’s eve dress

What a year, eh? 2014 is almost over and what better way to bring in the New Year than to sparkle? I’ve learned so much this year and can’t wait to see what excitement unfolds in 2015. This year has been one of the most challenging thus far however it’s taught me so much and helped me grow. Most importantly, this year has brought out my passion for blogging again so THANK YOU to those who read and follow me. It truly means the world. I can’t wait to share what’s in store for 2015!

A dress for New Year’s Eve can super stressful to find. A New Year’ Eve dress should be fun, flirty, classy and make you feel like a million bucks (well, because you are!). This navy sequin dress (also available in red) is from Private Cartel (get it here) & it’s under $100 (and on sale!). I love this sequin dress because it’s sexy but the long-sleeves make it less open. If I’m showing legs, I cover up on top!

If this dress doesn’t do it for you, there are other options in the “Shop The Post” section! Enjoy & Happy New Year!

into the woods

Happy Holiday’s everyone!

I hope you all had amazing Hannukah/Christmas. It’s been so hectic that I haven’t had a chance to post much, so for that I’m sorry. But, good news , I got a new camera and I can’t wait to share new outfit posts with you all. I’ll also be delving into beauty/lifestyle so please feel free to let me know what you’d like to see on the blog! On to today’s post…

As I mentioned before, I had the pleasure of working with an incredible photographer, Leyna, of Yellow Heart Photography. Her vision and talent always inspire me and together we shot a series of editorial style content. I am honored to share them with you! You can see the first set here.

We went to Solstice Canyon for this shoot and the scenery was incredibly beautiful. There is something glamorous about nature. It seems that nowadays we take the Earth for granted, so being able to be one with nature and truly appreciate it was a great experience. Remember to always take a moment and embrace your surrounds, the world is an incredible place.

camel x gray

My obsession with camel is on-going and I don’t think it’s going to be over anytime soon. This camel coat from Lioness has quickly become my go-to coat for almost every look (see previous post here). I wear it with my denim, with my dresses, and with my work clothes. In today’s post I paired this camel coat with my favorite gray two-piece from my online store Private Cartel (get it here). I love the pairing of neutrals together, especially camel and gray.

A gray two-piece is a sexy yet chic way to create a unique going out look. Two-piece sets are all the rage and pairing it with a cool oversized coat makes this effortless and chic. For the Fall/Winter & Spring/Summer seasons, a camel coat is a definite must have. You can get a thicker one for the cooler seasons and a loose and thin trench for the warmer seasons.
