venice stripes

This past week two of my lovely friends came to visit from Istanbul, Turkey. Together we all went on some amazing dinner adventures (a favorite pastime). It was so nice being able to speak my native tongue and I actually feel as though I’ve improved in speaking Turkish so it was definitely a great week. You know when you don’t speak a language for awhile it gets a little rusty but as soon as you speak it comes back somehow. Thank goodness! Our brains are miraculous.

In today’s post I re-cap what I wore yesterday as we went to Venice beach and at The Tasting Kitchen. It was definitely a dining experience I wish to have again. We order a charcuterie + cheese plate, the octopus, the yellowtail hamachi, and lasagnette pasta. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was super cozy.

I’m sure you’ve noticed this pleated leather skirt from previous posts, but I have to admit- a leather pleated skirt is a great closet staple. This baby comes out every season. I would high suggest investing in one (I’ve added similar styles to SHOP THE POST at the bottom of this post).
